Fernando Santomaggio's musical odyssey traces the arc of an artist in perpetual motion—from the pulsing heart of South Florida's cover circuit to the uncharted territories of original composition. With bass in hand and vision unwavering, he has transformed more than two decades of musical exploration into a singular voice that resonates with both technical mastery and creative audacity.

Inspired by musical legends such as Frank Zappa, Jaco Pastorious, Sting, Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea and many others, Fernando spent his earliest days under the musical tutelage of renowned bassist Albert Nigro.

His tenure with The Crush served as both foundation and launching pad, where night after night of reimagining beloved classics honed his craft while quietly nurturing a more personal artistic calling. Today, as the bass player for Big Rock Band and Mixtape, Fernando channels that accumulated wisdom into something entirely his own—original works that bear the DNA of rock and roll tradition yet pulse with contemporary innovation.

The transition from interpreter to creator marks not just a career pivot, but an artistic awakening.
